FORMING RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS

OBJECTIVE: Contribute to the prevention of violence and the promotion of values ​​of sustainable and inclusive development among youth, with particular focus on gender equality.
 
HOW: Considering education a key vector to enhance these values, FRC promotes a novel approach to secondary school citizenship education through the development of new teaching materials and participatory teaching and learning methodology.
 
WHERE: Morocco, Tunisia, Lebanon, and Jordan.

OBJECTIVE: Support longer-term sustainability of citizenship education programmes throughout one academic year.
 
HOW: Gather resources to extend the methodology and content of programmes, addressing both formal and non-formal education.

GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN PARTICIPATORY EDUCATION

OBJECTIVE: Improve teachers’ teaching techniques to foster students’ participation and commitment.
 
HOW: Design and deliver a graduate diploma for teachers and education professionals which promotes the exercise of freedom, rights, duties, and gender equality as a driving tool for education in all secondary school subjects.

YOUTH VIOLENT RADICALISATION EARLY WARNING SYSTEMS

OBJECTIVE: Support local institutions and municipalities in detecting and preventing youth radicalisation.
 
HOW: Develop early warning processes and systems to detect, compile and analyse information which help devise and implement targeted measures for the prevention of youth radicalisation.

OBJECTIVE: Develop research capacity and contextualise analyses on target population and specific socio-economic contexts, in order to provide the basis for more targeted citizenship education methods and programmes.
