FIELD OF ACTION: Research and Capacity Building for the detection and prevention of violent radicalization
The Prevention of Violent Radicalization Working Group works on initiatives to support the implementation of Article 3 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (“Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person”). This article and the work of this Group seeks to tackle the global challenge deriving from the violent radicalization of young people.
This Group’s objective is the development of complementary initiatives across the MENA, Mediterranean and Balkans region in order to assist in the design of radicalization prevention processes, through research, the compilation and analysis of information regarding how young people are radicalized and the capacity building of organizations and institutions working on these issues to strengthen their capabilities to both effectively prevent and respond to this phenomenon.
